Nagoya Players’ performance of Aesop’s Fables was a huge success and has generated a lot of interest in children’s theater. We are currently making plans to perform the show again in 2020. But for our next performance, how about we add some young actors to the cast?!
Naudia Patterson will teach and train children in the Act in English Workshop to perform an original fable written by Nagoya Players’ Artistic Director Shawn Mahler.
The workshop will focus on learning English vocabulary and grammar found in the script. Once the children have mastered the English we will then focus on their acting skills. They will learn how to express themselves with emotion and movement and how to transform from human children into wild animals!
Children who complete the workshop will perform an original mini-play in conjunction with a 2020 performance of Aesop’s Fables.

English Education Initiative (EEI)
Nagoya Players’ English Education Initiative (EEI) has been developed to encourage a life-long love of language study in the residents of Aichi. From youth to adults we are creating materials and organizing events that will aid learners in their pursuit of mastering the English language. And have fun at the same time!
We firmly believe that early exposure to English is a key indicator for future success. Children who develop foreign language skills early in life routinely show improved performance at school and gain access to better career opportunities.
With each Nagoya Players’ show we also organize Kids, Beginner, Intermediate and Advance English programs to encourage everyone to further pursue their studies.
If you’d like an Nagoya Player’s EEI event hosted at your school, business or organization please email us at NagoyaPlayers@gmail.com
