Rainbow Connections ミニ•ミュージカル

Rainbow Connections ミニ•ミュージカル

(日本語 ページ1)

For NP Junior’s next Charity Showcase we’d like to feature a mini-musical. The musical will be written, directed and choreographed by Jeff Fritch. It is an original production titled Rainbow Connections. Cast size is scalable, but may require at least 10 performers. The next CS is tentatively scheduled for March 12-13, 2022 at Youth Square.

Workshops

In order to prepare performers for the show we will run a series of English, Acting and Dance workshops for children from March 2021~March 2022 at Imaike Studio and/or Uchiyama Community Center.

Open Workshops

These will be open, drop-in style workshops. All ages and levels are welcome to attend. The goal of the Open Workshops is to introduce the basics of dance and acting to children. Workshops will be casual and beginner friendly and will serve as a soft introduction to the performing arts.

May 22 will also double as Audition Day for children interested in taking a role in Rainbow Connections. There will be acting, dancing, and singing roles available. Some roles will require multiple performance skills, but other roles may only focus on one performance element.

6 Sessions (Saturdays): Mar 6 & 20, Apr 10 & 24, and May 8 & 22
Dance 17:00-17:40
Acting 17:50-18:30

Participation Fees need to be paid in advance. ¥1000 per session for either Dance or Acting workshops. ¥1500 per session for children who’d like to participate in both workshops.

Jeff Fritch, Acting Coach & Dance Instructor

Jeff has been teaching dance in Japan and the US for over 30 years. He is also a highly trained English instructor. Jeff is Nagoya Players’ Dance Choreographer and most recently designed the dance routines for NP’s The Gift of the Magi. Every week, Jeff teaches a beginner’s tap dance class in Motoyama at Studio R3. And there is a weekly English and tap class, Eigo de Tap, in Oharu-cho. English Education Initiative (EEI)

Nagoya Players’ English Education Initiative (EEI) has been developed to encourage a life-long love of language study in the residents of Aichi. From youth to adults we are creating materials and organizing events that will aid learners in their pursuit of mastering the English language. And have fun at the same time!

We firmly believe that early exposure to English is a key indicator for future success. Children who develop foreign language skills early in life routinely show improved performance at school and gain access to better career opportunities.

With each Nagoya Players’ show we also organize Kids, Beginner, Intermediate and Advance English programs to encourage everyone to further pursue their studies.

If you’d like a Nagoya Player’s EEI event hosted at your school, business or organization please email us at Info@NagoyaPlayers.org.
