名古屋プレイヤーズ・ジュニア・ショーケースは、演劇を通して子どもたちの英語力、自信、創造力、そして協調性を育む英語劇プログラムです。英語初心者から経験者まで誰でも参加でき、英語でのコミュニケーション力、演技力、歌やダンスなどの表現力を身につけながら英語劇を制作します。
私たちの使命は、子どもたち一人ひとりが安心して挑戦し、自分らしく成長できる環境を提供することです。オリジナル作品や前向きなテーマを通じて、自己表現力、クリエイティブに問題を解決する力、そして互いの個性や強みを認め合う心を育みます。
長年にわたる練習と成長、そして技術の積み重ねを経て、いよいよ名古屋プレイヤーズ・ジュニアは新たな挑戦へと踏み出します。
2027年のNPJショーケースでは、子どもたちは名古屋市千種文化小劇場での舞台に立ちます。第７作目にして一番大きな節目となり、これまで培ってきた英語力、演技力、歌唱力、そして総合的なパフォーマンス力を、より多くのお客様の前で披露する絶好の機会となります。
新しい参加者も大歓迎です。演劇経験のあるお子さまはもちろん、初めて舞台に挑戦するお子さまも安心してご参加いただけます。NPJは、子どもたちが自信を持ち、仲間と出会い、表現活動を通して成長できる、温かく創造的な環境を提供しています。
The Nagoya Players Junior Showcase is an English-language theatre program that helps children develop confidence, communication skills, creativity, and teamwork through the performing arts. Designed for both beginner and experienced English learners, participants build speaking, listening, acting, singing, and movement skills while working together toward a live public performance. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where children can grow as performers, language learners, and individuals. Through original stories, positive themes, and collaborative theatre-making, students learn to express themselves, solve problems creatively, and celebrate the unique strengths that every child brings to the stage.
After years of training, growth, and skill development, it is finally time for Nagoya Players Junior to take on a bigger challenge—and a bigger stage.
For the 2027 NPJ Showcase, our young performers will take the stage at the Chikusa Playhouse, marking an exciting new milestone for the programme. This professional theatre venue will provide students with the opportunity to perform before larger audiences and showcase the impressive English, acting, singing, and performance skills they have worked so hard to develop.
New performers are always welcome. Whether your child is an experienced actor or completely new to the stage, NPJ offers a supportive and creative environment where children can build confidence, make friends, and grow through the performing arts.
Elementary Troupe
『メガ・チーム・アタック』 は、ビデオゲームの世界を舞台にした、小学生が演じるオリジナル・ファンタジー・ミュージカルです。若き勇者たちが巨大なドラゴン「ギガドラゴン」に戦いを挑む中、勇敢だけれど少し無鉄砲な戦士が、本当の勝利には勇気だけでは足りないことを学びます。
ドラゴン、宝物、迫力満点のバトル、楽しい音楽、そして個性豊かなキャラクターたちが登場するこの作品は、チームワークや友情、一人ひとりの違った才能を認め合うことの大切さを伝えます。英語学習者や初めて舞台に立つ子どもたちにも参加しやすく、演技・歌・ダンス・クリエイティビティさを存分に楽しめる、創造的で温かい環境の中で上演されます。
Mega Team Attack is an original fantasy adventure musical for children ages 5–9 inspired by the exciting world of video games. When a team of young heroes challenges the mighty Giga Dragon, one reckless warrior learns that courage alone is not enough to save the day. Filled with dragons, treasure, action-packed battles, catchy songs, and colorful characters, this fun and energetic show teaches the importance of teamwork, friendship, and celebrating each person’s unique strengths. Designed for English learners and young performers, Mega Team Attack offers plenty of opportunities for acting, singing, dancing, and imaginative play in a supportive and creative environment.

『スイート・ドリームズ・ユージーン』 は、想像力・創造力・そして仲間と協力することの大切さを描いたオリジナル・コメディ作品です。若き作家ユージーンは、大切な締め切りを前に物語を書き上げることができず悩んでいました。ところがある日、彼が過去に生み出したものの忘れ去られていたキャラクターたちが突然現れ、彼のアパートは笑いと大騒動に溢れます。そして思いがけないひらめきに満ちた世界へと変わっていきます。
個性豊かなキャラクターたちが繰り広げるユーモアあふれる物語を通して、子どもたちは創造的に考えること、新しいアイデアを受け入れること、そして一人ひとりの違いを尊重することの大切さを学びます。英語力・演技力・表現力を伸ばしたい小学高学年生から中学生の子どもたちにぴったりの、楽しく挑戦しがいのある舞台作品です。
Sweet Dreams Eugene is an original comedy adventure about imagination, creativity, and the power of working together. When young writer Eugene struggles to finish an important story before a looming deadline, a collection of forgotten characters suddenly comes to life and turns his ordinary apartment into a world of chaos, laughter, and unexpected inspiration. Filled with quirky heroes, colorful personalities, and plenty of opportunities for acting and comedy, this show encourages young performers to think creatively, embrace new ideas, and celebrate what makes each person unique. Ideal for developing English, acting, and performance skills, it offers a fun and rewarding challenge for pre-teen actors.
リハーサルについて
子ども達が上演に向けてしっかり準備できるよう、英語とパフォーマンススキルの舞台稽古を実施します。
リハーサル（舞台稽古）は2026年9月から2027年5月まで（28回）今池スタジオで行う予定です。リハーサル場所の変更がある場合は随時お知らせします。
これらのリハーサルでは、子どもたちが本番の舞台に立つために必要な英語力、演技力、ダンス、ヴォーカルスキルを楽しく学び、身につけられるよう指導します。
In order to prepare children for the show we will run a series of English and performance skills workshops.
Rehearsals will be held from September 2026~May 2027 at Imaike Studio. These rehearsals are designed for the children to develop the English, acting, dance, and vocal skills needed to perform on stage for the public.

振付リハーサル
月１回ジェフ先生による振付の練習を行います。舞台に向けたダンスの振付を導入する時間で、舞台での大きなインパクトを与える非常に重要なスキルです。

インストラクター紹介
コリー先生
ニューヨークのコロンビア大学で日本語・日本文学・歴史を専攻し、その傍、演劇の学校に通う。卒業後はニューヨークで劇作家・演出家・役者として活躍。２０２４年英会話講師として来日。マイズナーメソッドと呼ばれる演技方法で役柄に没入し素晴らしい表現力を発揮。NYのマギー・フラニガン・スタジオで劇作家として活躍。来日早々の２０２４年には名古屋プレイヤーズ制作「ロミオとジュリエット」に出演し、多くの観客を魅了。また、アメリカの演劇団体コートラックの支援を受け、２０２４年オリジナル作品で舞台制作。NPJ子供英語劇２０２６ショーケースを演出し大好評を博する。
Kory is a theatre writer, director, actor and english teacher for kids and adults. They are from New York and graduated Columbia University with a degree in Japanese language, culture, and history. They developed a strong background in Meisner Acting technique, open movement, natural voice, and playwriting at the Maggie Flanigan Studio (NYC). Kory performed in Nagoya Players’ Romeo & Juliet (2024) and recently wrote and directed Nagoya Players Junior Showcase 2026. Founder of Coat Rack, an experimental theatre group that produces original stories for the stage, Kory wants to remind us that it’s called a play for a reason. So let’s play!
ジェフ先生
1961年にシカゴで生まれ、オレゴン州ポートランドで育ち、14歳で演技とダンスの世界に足を踏み入れる。50年以上に渡り、舞台とダンスに携わり、『オクラホマ！』『パジャマ・ゲーム』『ウィズ』などのミュージカルにも出演し、ジェファーソン・ダンサーズのメンバーとしても活躍しました。その後、日本でのキャリアを築き、京都や名古屋でジャズダンス、タップダンス、ブレイクダンスを指導。FM愛知、CBC、Radio iではナレーターやラジオDJとしても活動。現在は愛知でタップダンスと英語を指導する。2020年以降は名古屋プレイヤーズ・ジュニアで脚本・演出・振付を手がけ、若いパフォーマーの育成に尽力している。
Jeff, born in Chicago in 1961 and raised in Portland, began acting and dancing at 14. With over 50 years in theater and dance, he performed in musicals like Oklahoma, The Pajama Game, and The Wiz, and danced with the Jefferson Dancers. He later built a career in Japan, teaching jazz, tap, and breakdance in Kyoto and Nagoya. Jeff also worked as a narrator and radio DJ for FM Aichi, CBC, and Radio i. He currently teaches tap dance and English in Aichi. Since 2020, he has written, directed, and choreographed for Nagoya Players Junior, continuing to inspire young performers.
