こども食堂 Qchan 2024

(English Below) 世界中どこの地域であれ特に子ども達の食を満たすことはどの家庭においても大きな課題の一つです。もし、お腹が満たされていない子供がいるとすればとても心が痛みます。毎日栄養価の高い温かい食事を不自由なく提供される子ども達がいる一方、そうではない、学校の給食だけが頼りの子ども達もたくさんいることを忘れてはなりません。各地域の子ども食堂はそんな成長期の子ども達の食育をサポートし、温かい食事を提供する活動を担っています。

名古屋プレイヤーズジュニアは地域の子ども達の食育活動を支援したく、２年前に子ども食堂Qchanに寄付をいたしました。子ども食堂Qchanは、東区代官町で平日の月から金まで毎晩温かい食事を作って子ども達を暖かく迎えています。

名古屋プレイヤーズジュニアは「ショーケース」舞台の収益金より毎月１０キロのお米を子ども食堂「Qchan」に届けています。今年の夏、お米不足になった時はお米が手に入らず、うどんやパスタ、そうめんで凌いだそうです。１週間で２０キロ近くのお米を消費するそうなので、１０キロのお米は微力ですが、少しでも子ども達のお腹を満たししてくれたら嬉しいです。

子ども食堂の活動は支援を必要とする成長期の子ども達の発育を助け、学校生活への活力となり、将来の希望に繋がっていくことでしょう。お腹が空いていたら勉強にも集中できません。そして、子ども達が健康であれば、健全な社会を作り上げることができます。子とも達が成長して大人になった時、健全な地域社会作りへより貢献してくれることでしょう。

コロナ前の２０１９年に立ち上がった名古屋プレイヤーズジュニアはパンデミックを乗り越え２０２４年１２月公演で５回目を迎えます。子ども達による英語演劇活動は多くの方々の協力のおかげで毎年大成功を収め、地域の子ども達への支援活動にも繋がっています。この活動がこの先も長く継続できますよう、皆様のご協力ご協力を賜りますようお願い申し上げます。

In many communities across the country, hunger remains an ongoing challenge that affects families, and perhaps most heartbreakingly, children. While many children enjoy the comfort of a warm, nutritious meal each day, there are many who do not have that luxury. 子供食堂 (Kitchens for Children in Need) play a vital role in combating this issue and ensuring that all kids have the nourishment they need to grow, learn, and thrive.

Nagoya Players and Nagoya Players Junior are once again happy to support  こども食堂 QChan. Five days a week, the chefs and kitchen staff provide fresh, hot, nutritious meals for local children in need.

Proceeds from the NPJ Showcase will be used to supply Qchan with 10 kg of rice per month for one year. We hope that this donation of fresh rice will fill many bellies and provide the children with the energy and stamina they need to learn and grow.

Kitchens for Children in Need can help break the cycle of hunger. When children are well-nourished, they’re more likely to succeed in school and in life, setting them up for a future where they can become self-sufficient. Healthier kids lead to healthier communities. They will grow into adults who are able to contribute more effectively to society, passing on the values of compassion and generosity forward.

Nagoya Players Junior began in 2019. We have produced several shows designed for and performed by children. The project continues to grow and see success. We sincerely thank everyone who has contributed. Proceeds from these productions will be donated to local charities. Your support of the children we feature on stage also supports children in need. This has been a very fun and fulfilling project that we hope to continue for many years to come.
