Aesop’s Fables Auditions

OPEN CALL FOR CAST AND CREW
AESOP’S FABLES
Adapted by James Brock

SYNOPSIS
The show adapted by James Brock comprises four of Aesop’s famous fables: The Fox and the Crow, The Hare and the Tortoise, The Donkey In the Lion’s Skin, and The Fox and the Sour Grapes. These four classic tales are woven together into a fast-paced, seamless narrative. Audiences will see transformations in time, place and form happen before their very eyes. Nagoya Players will bring the magic of Aesop to stage for both adults and children to enjoy in this exciting family friendly show.

SEEKING
Director, actors, crew and volunteers. Experienced theater performers and newcomers are both welcome.

We are looking to fill 7 roles. 6 actors will play the parts of the various animal characters in the fables and 1 actor will play the role of AESOP. Actors will be asked to perform a short, 1-2 minute scene from the script. The show will be approximately 60 minutes in length and will require on stage costume and set changes. It’s a dynamic visually appealing show and we are looking for actors with energy and presence.

This project has been designed as a complete open call and we highly encourage anyone with an interest in theater to participate. This is an entry-level show and an excellent opportunity for anyone wishing to learn more about theater production.
