(日本語と英語の字幕) Ana Valdes Lim has stolen the hearts of Nagoya Players, and we suspect that she’ll steal yours too. This September, Ana makes her directorial debut in Japan with her adaptation of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet.
Ana previously performed with NP as an actress, playing the role of GRANDMA in Edward Albee’s American Dream (2023). After which, she took on the position of acting coach and conducted a series of very successful acting workshops for NP. She’s now heading a large show with a cast of veterans and newcomers, full of music, song, combat, and dance. Ana is a very impressive artist, and we are so incredibly grateful to work with her.
In this interview, Ana shares a little bit about her process as an actor and director, as well as her thoughts on Shakespeare.
Please come watch Romeo & Juliet and see why everyone at NP is so excited and impressed with Ana:) Tickets are available via Cast & Crew, IPE Academy in Imaike, or via bank transfer via our webform.
